Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes is known for grappling and ground fighting. Most of the effort and techniques focus on taking your opponent to the ground where you will use your energy and efforts to make your opponent tap out.
Central to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the belief that a smaller, weaker person can defeat a bigger, stronger assailant. They do this by using leverage, grip, knowledge, tactical skills and problem solving. They also apply a range of techniques such as chokeholds and joint locks.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teaches you to leverage grip by using tactical understanding to problem solving; the solution is to bring your opponent down with using techniques such as chokeholds and joint locks.

WARMING UP
There may be different warming up techniques before starting any Brazilian Jiu Jitsu session class.
Some may be very specific warm-ups where others may become routine which you’ll be able to do with ease.
Following up on warm-ups there could be a series of many warming up techniques.
There could range from a full body exercise or precise movements.
More techniques and understanding of warming up before sessions will become more clearer the more you progress with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
start with basic
Sparring
You may be partnered up who will help you also to progress as they have been in your same position beforehand. To start off with it’s not important to go straight into submissions however you can practise techniques with your sparring partner. The end goal of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is to have your opponent tap out which can be done with holds, locks, choking and warrior like thinking.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is known for its intensity so getting in shape with also come naturally as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu requires complete focus of your mind, body and spirit.
DRILLING TECHNIQUES
Techniques is incredibly important in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as one wrong move could mean losing the round to your opponent. Starting off, you’ll be shown by your trainer what core learning is important for your progression. Step by step instructions and show-how will be provided which can be a done a few times to ensure everyone is up to speed with the technical and physical technique.
